History of The Syndicate MC – Helderberg Chapter
Established: 26 April 2016
In 2015, while riding with the Boland Chapter of The Syndicate MC, Attie (serving as Vice President at the time) and Elmarie identified the need for a third chapter in the Western Cape.
After careful planning and reflection, Attie presented a formal proposal to the National Leadership at the Sidewinder. The aim was to expand the club’s footprint into key areas including Kuilsriver, Bellville, Paarl, Franschhoek, Stellenbosch, Strand, Somerset West, Gordon’s Bay, and Betty’s Bay.
The proposal was met with full support and received a unanimous vote of approval. With official permission granted, the foundation was laid for a new chapter.

Choosing a name came next.
The name The Syndicate MC Helderberg was inspired by the iconic Helderberg Mountain.
From its summit, one can enjoy sweeping views of the Peninsula—from Melkbosstrand and Paarl to Strand, Gansbaai, and even parts of Grabouw and Villiersdorp—making it a fitting symbol for the chapter's broad reach and strong presence.
At the time of its founding, members were spread out between Table View and the Strand/Somerset West/Gordon’s Bay areas, with one member located in Gansbaai. The chapter launched with 10 Key Holders and 4 Pillions, marking the official birth of The Syndicate MC Helderberg Chapter.

From early on, the chapter made a name for itself through dedicated community outreach.
They proudly support The Salvation Army Carehaven, which aids women and children affected by abuse, and the Hesketh King Treatment Center, which assists individuals battling substance abuse.
The Syndicate MC Helderberg quickly earned respect among fellow clubs in the region and is a proud member of the Motorcycle Association Western Cape (MAWC).
Beyond charitable efforts, the chapter maintains a vibrant calendar that includes monthly meetings, club rides, and participation in day jols and rallies. In addition, they co-host the well-known Brotherhood Dayjol alongside their close friends at Earthbound MCC.

Today, the Helderberg Chapter proudly consists of:

· 2 Half Patch members (Appies)
